SPIRITUAL DIRECTION:
INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
Spiritual direction is a process that focuses on examining and deepening the relationship between a person and the divine and living out the consequences of that relationship. It is a safe and non-judgmental space to which a person can bring anything—their experiences, their feelings, their struggles, their questions, their joys—with the confidence that the spiritual director, as a fully present companion, will allow them to look at it all. Through spiritual direction, deeper awareness of how the divine is present in every moment is cultivated. This awareness initiates movement into greater inner freedom so that the person can be more fully present to themself, to others, and to the divine.
These one-on-one sessions typically last 60 minutes and are held in strict confidentiality. I am willing to meet in person or via video technology. GUIDED CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICES
These individual or group sessions are intended to introduce a specific contemplative practice and to provide space for reflection and questions. If there is a practice that you have questions about or that you would like to explore more deeply, or if you are looking for new ways to connect to the divine, these sessions might be helpful for you. Examples of contemplative practices include, but are in no way limited to, centering prayer/meditation, labyrinth, lectio divina, visio divina, prayer beads, welcoming prayer, breath prayer, and the prayer of examen. WORKSHOPS
"Becoming Free" is a half-day workshop intended to introduce a group of participants to contemplative spiritual practices. It includes teaching, group discussion, and individual practice and reflection.
I am also available to facilitate a customized workshop or retreat based on the needs of your group. Contact me for more details.
